The IJSS Fellowship in Spiritual Social Transformation
IJSS has established the IJSS Fellowship in Jewish Wisdom for Today, a faculty fellowship that supports professors in bringing Jewish ideas into academic and public conversations. The fellowship is expanding to support up to 40 faculty fellows, building a network of scholars exploring how Jewish wisdom can inform responses to today’s social and cultural challenges.
Fellows develop teaching, programs, and curricula that examine how Jewish texts and traditions can be thoughtfully applied to modern questions. IJSS also convenes conferences that bring together academics, educators, community leaders, and other thought leaders, with essays and proceedings published to extend the reach of this work.
IJSS believes the Jewish tradition offers insights into responsibility, meaning, and community that resonate far beyond any single faith. This fellowship helps ensure those ideas are studied seriously, taught widely, and shared with the broader public.
